A lot of farms rely on this bug such as my zombie pigman farm as I need them to walk off the edge using trap doors, I think this should stay as it is due to how many farms use trapdoors to get mobs to walk off the edge towards the kill chamber.

I remember making a small planting farm and having these lamps hung there and when a zombie tries to pathfind around to me it seems to get stuck or "attatched" to it, unable to get to me even when I'm 5 blocks near it. Maybe you're getting the same thing with villagers since pathfinding is kinda broken with lamps.

18w47b has fixed the lag issues I was having on my MSI GE72 6QF Apache Pro, but I'm beginning to see why the performance was so poor, I think it has to do with the compatibility with whatever computer we have as well as what's already installed and if it's been optimized. We should probably post our PC specs as we look deeper into this. Maybe it will help Mojang understand what kind of PCs are affected.

I can at least confirm they still spawn but they're very rare and spawn alone.

Forced a crash after running for 4000 blocks distance after lag spike of death.

My world did something similar and I had to shut it down via task manager too, but the log stated something about running 100+ ticks behind. That world is now completely unplayable and I hope performance gets fixed soon.

I don't know if this helps any but I noticed a slight performance improvement upon moving my save to a Solid State Drive (SSD), still lags though.

World generation for me is so slow to the point where I get rubberbanding to occur with everything, I cannot break anything easily as it takes an obsurd amount of time to drop its item. My PC is high end so I know this isn't windows causing this.
