That is slightly different. This affects the textures in a far more noticable way, and only copper trapdoors do it. Otherwise if you open acacia or spruce trapdoors, the lines at the top would be rotating axises upon opening instead of staying in one direction.

I copied the JSON file for the blockstates of another trapdoor type for my vent and it fixed the issue, so it's definitely a copper trapdoor thing only. Again, it's solely due to an incorrect set rotation in that file, since these trapdoors use the trapdoor template model like all the others. That appears to be a proper texture mapping issue, while this is just a rotation issue.

I thought so at first too but with trapdoors like acacia trapdoors, you can see it doesn't have that issue. Same goes with all the other trapdoors. The problem is an incorrect rotation of the model itself in the blockstates json.

Makes zero sense that anyone can select "Future Versions" instead of only Mojang employees. I'm new to here and thought it was referring to experimental features for future versions. To any mods reading this, I think it would be a good idea to change that or add some sort of clarification.
