1.9 still lagging just as badly, sometimes worse. Menus are better at loading, but when selecting items it isn't registering button selections for a second. (still can't see underwater on 2 player as well)
Was not bothered to look up what it was called at the time, whoops. lmao.
It has nothing to do with the conduit as my further comments have mentioned. 2nd player is the only screen affected by it being too dark, and it's much more dark than normal 'oh i'm underwater' dark. I recently saw another bug posted, showing that others are also experiencing this issue. It happens everywhere, in all waters, whether I'm right next to the conduit with the buff or not, and in other worlds. I cannot see through water from the surface, and I cannot see the surface through the water while underwater, and it's like nighttime all the time (while underwater). Pretty annoying bug! 😛
Having the same problem on Switch. Thought it was just an issue with the sea beacon but it's everywhere.
For 2nd player on any world, cannot see beneath the water from the surface at all no matter what time of day, but 1st player seems unaffected. While underwater, it is always very dark, and very hard to see. Seems to have nothing to do with the heart of the sea. Maybe a reflection issue?
Turns out i can see fine on 1st player screen, but 2nd player is in the dark despite having the buff.
Load times on the Nintendo Switch also suffer a great deal, and it's gotten worse since the 1.8 update.
I'm also experiencing this problem. If I'm not splatting on game-start, when I try to run around I run into invisible walls and the world is loading /very/ slowly. The game is currently unplayable because of these bugs. :[ I'm playing on Nintendo Switch, 1.8.

Latest update, 1.11 still having mad lag, blocks not disappearing right when you destroy them, land not appearing for a full minute while I'm in a boat, no matter how slowly I go, so I'm just hovering around empty space or partial water.
