Still happens in 1.17.10. Thanks to this bug ender pearl teleporters are basically useless.

It is still an issue. They also seem to completely ignore their spawn rules, ghasts should not spawn without sufficient space or close to each other, but they do.

You will starve to 1HP. You can starve to death only in hardcore mode (which is not implemented in MCPE).
