Confirmed for 1.21 on Windows 11 QWERTY Spanish Layout
This bug has been bothering me for a long time

I can confirm for 1.21.2
It happens in the overworld, nether and end, if that helps.

This makes for a really easy and powerful duplication glitch in survival, since you can place blocks on an empty chunk in the end, break them and pick them up, reload the world, and the blocks will be back but you'll still have the items in your inventory, resulting in your blocks being duplicated.

I had a similar issue, with my survival inventory having the Cubecraft server icon on the top left corner, and the Cubecraft server icon on the servers list being the texture of the inventory with the Cubecraft icon on the corner, really weird (No resource packs active)

It happened once, when closing and opening the game everything was back to normal.

But does the game still opens? Because for me always the game didn't respond when opening, but I can normally play it, on windows.

Try to delete the ".minecraft" folder and reinstall the game. that worked for me.

Try to delete .minecraft (after making a world backup) and uninstall Minecraft, that worked for me, but my game was crashing before the mojang loading screen appeared. Hope it works!

I think this happens because "useless villagers" despawn, when an uneployed villager wanders away from the village, he just desappears, I don't know if this is intended but it happens to me, I think all your villagers were unenployed and they despawned because this building you did does not act like a village.

HOW TO MAKE IT A VILLAGE.

The game makes villagers not go away from the village by making them gather around the village bell once a day, also, they go to bed every night.

Your village needs workstations to be a village, you need to place blocks where villagers can get employed with, these blocks are barrels, composters, lecterns, looms, smithing tables, fletching tables, cartography tables, stonecutters, brewing stands, blast furnaces, smokers and grindstones.

Once your village has a workstation and a bed in every house and also a bell, your village will officialy be a village. you will be able to trade with these villagers and they will not despawn.

Hope this fixes your problem! Works for me.

The problem is that signs containing custom text colors, bold, underlined, strike trough, italic or obsufucated text's NBT information is deleted by changing from 1.13.2 to 1.14+. In 1.14.0 the text just disappears, in 1.14.2 it acts like a new sign where you can write on, i didn't check on future versions. This issue is not a problem anymore for me because I never go back to 1.13.

now i checked in 1.14.2 and the writing gui does appear...

i think that's because you are using OptiFine in 1.13.2, glass without borders i'ts an OptiFine feature and i'ts not in vanilla Minecraft.
