Are there any test cases on the guardian's laser attack? I believe they also deal magic damage, but not sure of the exact number.
Affects 1.17.0
Yes. It still affects 1.17.0
Is there a way to merge this with MCPE-29986? As someone has pointed out, it is the same problem but from a different angle.
This bug can still be observed in 1.16.201.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Build a wither trap as detailed in https://youtu.be/Aqdt7vC1D6g (The wither would be trapped between the obsidian and bedrock)
2. Spawn the wither as directed. The wither will be spawned in the center of the obsidian platform.
3. Exit and return to this world. (You can do it while the wither is spawning to ensure that it doesn’t move on itself)
Observed Results:
The wither is shifted 2 blocks east on the platform.
Expected Results:
The wither is still at the center of the platform.
I discovered this while testing the 1.16.100 trading and found it really counterintuitive. What I expected is that when you reload the game the villager is still under curing and remember that it has been cured before.
The recent trading update makes this issue more significant, where many players have lost their previous curing discounts (even for the villager directly cured before). I assume the two issues are somewhat related.
The new trading discount seems to be inconsistent among platforms. I've tested it on iOS and it works basically like Java (except this bug I found MCPE-106839), but on Xbox one there are complaints that after multiple cures the discount is still -1 (see this Reddit link).
BDSAC MCPE-40651 is talking about a bedrock bug (as you can see from its name). My point is that we should keep reminding Mojang of overlooked "bad" disparities, instead of complaining when they randomly remove "good"(OP) ones.
If you read my link about trading, you can see the cure "spreading" in Java indeed only reduces the price by 1 (actually 1.25), presumably tied to the "minor_positive" gossip value. However, I agree that the game does have trouble remembering if a villager has been cured before, for which I have filed a relevant report in MCPE-106839. You need more than "asking it back" to justify a change in the game.
Those who are complaining here should understand what they meant first. In Java you can bring down the trading price via repeatedly convert & cure villagers (read this page Trading). As far as I have tested, the new trading works the same way as the video below, which is in Java.

(However, I hope Mojang could spend more time fixing the missing Java features in Bedrock, for example MCPE-40651. Vote for this one!)
A symptom I would like to add to this bug: the mobs won’t despawn as expected in iOS. I stayed at a ocean monument and it was quickly filled with guardians. I set simulation distance = 4 and travelled away ~200 blocks hoping to despawn them, but when I came back they were still there.
Note that this may not be the (sole) source of the lag. When I switched to peaceful mode (which despawned the guardians), the game still loaded very slowly. It does improve the lag a bit with less mobs present.
