This issue doesn't only happen in the Debug World Generation. The Nether and End Dimensions generate in strips in the normal world generation, which is really laggy. I expect the Debug World Generation is just amplifying it until the client/server can't handle the load they are given to process. For those playing Survival Minecraft in the snapshots, I recommend not using 14w26a or 14w26b! The Reason: The Nether & End can't be navigated. The World Generator only works in the Overworld.
The pink and black square is a missing texture that is displayed if a game can't find a texture. The easy fix would be to let the block find its texture, which in the case of the barrier, means that the code that makes it invisible needs to be rewritten.

It doesn't seem to always do the same thing. Sometimes it doesn't deactivate the two last repeaters in the line of repeaters. In addition to that, it sometimes skips deactivating repeaters after the first in the line. This may be because I'm on my private server running 14w19a, but I can't be certain. I'm using the two torches monostable design in 2014-05-06_18.12.12.png
I think it's safe to say that the bug has been fixed in 14w11b. 14w17a and 14w18b don't have the bug either.
The villagers don't seem to be running super fast in 14w17a, so I'm going to test in 14w18b now.
Okay, I haven't checked if it still happens past 14w11b yet, but I'm on it!
Lol, I See That The Mod Tails Already Labeled This As A Duplicate. I'm New To The Bug Tracker So I Really Have No Clue About What I'm Doing Besides Finding A Bug. xD
I can confirm this happens in the Nether, and it is a pain to navigate (I didn't know that the bug existed until I traveled farther into the Nether, trying to create a Nether portal to a Mesa biome)
