This would be fixed if Glow Squids lit up blocks around them instead of the game always trying to render them like a lit block. I thought the Glow Squid would glow, but it seems this feature has not been added into Minecraft yet.
My issue is worse than MC-111009 as I am fine with the hitbox's shape. I am pointing out that the animations are busted where the hitboxes don't follow the Dragon's animations properly. It looks like they changed the hitbox since MC-111009 and the shape itself is improved, but there is defensively a horrible desync between model and hitbox.
Yesterday I was able to copy the world files, reinstall Minecraft and put my worlds back in the game and it works. It’s fixed but could you still make it not happen again?
OptiFine dosen't fix any lag issues. In fact, none of the suggestions the entire Minecraft community has made has actually worked. I'm pretty sure the only way to resolve this is for Mojang to rewrite some of the code. On the other hand, previous versions work fine, even without OptiFine (sometimes, I can even use max render distance without any problems).
Kumasasa I don't have that issue. My issue is that I'd always lag, no matter what (even if I like, allocate RAM, use VBO's, turn down render distance, etc.). For some reason, even all the menu would lag.
Unfortunately, this happened on my Minecraft world as well.
Ah sorry, did not see that one, but I have another bug I reported MC-242380

This glitch has been in the game since November 18, 2011
November 18, 2011 was when Minecraft 1.0 was released.
This still seems to effect me with new versions of MC and especially if I summon the bosses with commands. ( I play Java not bedrock)

You know you can change the Minecraft controls? I set my drop key from q to ` as I kept dropping my items when walking.
In addition I have tried re-downloading, restarting computer and turning on and off my firewall but these haven't worked
This has been a long lasting problem. I have also encountered this whilst playing 1.5 and 1.6
im having the same issue
i am getting the same problem. it appears that the only way to fix it is to completely uninstall and reinstall the game.
Actually, they do disappear when you right click them, my bad.
I've attached one of the worlds this bug occurred in, however, it seems to appear consistently in all worlds.
I once saw this in a 1.9 snapshot. This also appears in 1.10. I believe that your mining speed has something to do with this.
Just question: does 1.9 have this new render system or something that requires new drivers>
Done
One of them is the 16w15b, one is 1.9.2, one is 1.8.9. All were taken in the same superflat world.
