Do note that this bug has been an issue for longer than mentioned in the bug report, but I don’t exactly know when this bug started occurring.
If someone else could try and find the exact version of the game in which this bug first started happening, that would be very helpful.

Just wanted to confirm that this occurs in every single release after 1.21.5 pre-release 2, when this was originally reported.
This means that this is taking place in 1.21.5’s full release.
