This is probably just a result of you using 1.17 on what I believe is still technically a 1.8 server (with a plugin to allow for future versions to join), meaning the response your client wants to do (likely crawling if I remember correctly) can't match up to the server, due to crawling not being a feature yet in its view, leading to this.
