MC-119351 Minecraft crashes at startup Invalid

Comments

At last, I managed to work around the bug.

  • I disable my antivirus agents temporarily (Avast free antivirus v17.5.2302)

  • I start the launcher and play the game

  • Minecraft launches !!!

  • During minecraft is running, I can then enable Avast again.

If I start the launcher before disabling the antivirus, the game still crashes.

It seems there is a conflic between Avast / Minecraft / Java at startup.

  • I do not have D3Dgear installed

  • I have already updated my graphic card drivers

  • I have already tried reinstalling Java and use different java version (7 & 8)

None of this worked for me...

Moreover, I tried the old minecraft launcher (https://s3.amazonaws.com/Minecraft.Download/launcher/Minecraft.exe), and it crashes exactly the same way (log in windows event) but with no GUI message.

Could this issue be reopened please ?!
Is there a way to launch the game / run the JVM to have more detailled traces ?

Same here : i was using the BDCraft texture pack in 128x128 in 1.4.7 and it was running very smoothly, without any framerate problem.

Now in 1.5.1, I updated the texture pack to have the one compatible with 1.5, and I hardly get more than 15 FPS which is truly unplayable.

I tried different versions of the pack (16x, 32X & 128x), the higher the slower, whereas in 1.4.7 there was no such differences in FPS.

I also experienced a fps drop because of the smooth lighting on the 1.5.

Tested on the same scene (no redstone construction, some mobs like cows, chicken and sheeps in daylight), I have :

  • 1.5 - smooth lighting at max or min (no difference) : ~60 fps

  • 1.5 - smooth lighting off : ~110 fps

  • 1.4.7 - smooth lighting on : ~110 fps

Render distance : far

Graphics: Fancy
Advanced OpenGL: ON

here is my configuration :
PC desktop
proc: Intel DualCore E8400
graphic: nvidia GeForce 8800 GT, driver v306.97

windows 7 pro SP1 64bits
java version 1.7.0_10-b18 64bits
playing fullscreen at resolution 1680x1050

hope this helps
