BDS-22719 player count and ping info not showing when in same LAN as BDS Plausible

Comments

Update: Changing the Port from the default one solves this issue. But still persists with the default port

On further testing I noticed that when setting the lan_visibility in server.properties to false, the ping and player count works for the first launch of the game. That means when launching minecraft, the player count and ping will load and are correct, but as soon as I join the server and leave it again, the ping and player count is broken again. Additionally then the server is visible in the worlds-tab as a LAN world (despite it being turned of in the server.properties!). After relaunching the game it works again and the server is not visible as a LAN world.

Furthermore I tried to disable the values LANBroadcast and LANBroadcastIntent inside the world’s leve.dat. Disabling both OR only the first one resulted in the problem that ping and player count will never load, not on the first launch either like before. Although it solves the issue that the server is not visible in the LAN under the worlds-tab anymore.

So the only way to get ping and player count seems to be having it open to LAN (???) but you only get to see it when launching the game and after that it’s gone.

P.S. I opened this new bug report because I saw comments under old one, that if this issues persists in the new UI update than a new report should be opened

I still encounter the same issue on version 1.21.80. I host a Bedrock Dedicated Server on a mini pc that I have and when I’m connected to my home wifi, which is the same that the server has, then the ping is infintely loading and the player count is always on 0. If I am on a different network everything works..

My Server has the Build ID: 33674285

and Branch: r/21_u8
