Can confirm this is still very much a problem in latest snapshot 21w17a and every version below I've bred up tens of bees already and all of them get lost somewhere over an ocean to the northwest of my map never to return home again. Makes keeping bee's a complete waste of time and is ruining build ideas that involve bees.
Issue still remains and is the absolute nightmare for any creative server. People are bringing in items with NBT tags that are so big they make other players crash and get autokicked, resulting in them being kicked again every time they log in, so basically a way to ban any player you want off a server without having op permissions. People can bring in highly enchanted tools that can even kill players who are in creative mode. People can bring in fireworks that last up to minutes, crashing anyone with minimal pc's.
Please mojang, just add a gamerule to the game that is /gamerule loadsavedtoolbars true/false, it will make creative server owners finally able to not have to fear for the well-being of their server every day.
We are having the same issue on our 1.15.2 Spigot Server. The world is relatively old and we also encountered the problems in an older version a time ago. (It was one of those unstable ones... dunno, 1.13 or 1.14?). The last time we restored a backup.
But now the problem is there again. One chunk gets replaced by another one. We found it by chance, so we got no clue what triggered it (We changed a good many biomes tho... maybe that is some issue? Strangely the chunk error is in a whole different area, where we didn't change anything.
The thing is, I wouldn't mind to restore one or two chunks. But to me, it looks like it is spreading. (It also did the last time it happened: First only a few chunks were corrupted, but they became more and more. And putting the chunk from a backup in the broken ones place didn't help much; soon after it swapped again.) So this time, we found one broken chunk and replaced it. And now I found another one... I will load a backup again.
I really thought this one got fixed with 1.15.2... It is quite annoying, because last backup is a few weeks old. And very often you don't find the broken chunk immediately...
I am kind of afraid of corrupted worlds... (I can't provide any log i fear, since i don't know when it happened)
there aren't barrier blocks. also these unbreakable blocks seem to only form in air blocks and caveair blocks. they aren't formed by players. we seem to have more issues with formations on our world. our woodland had been cut in half and there are a lot of trees that get cut off on chunk borders.

Thanks for verifying!
Is this still ongoing?
There were some changes affecting the session service recently, but it should be back to normal now.

Payments are no longer available on account.mojang.com
So I just found out that if you keep them in a small area like a chunk, they no longer despawn. Maybe it is a chunk issue?
It's clearly not from the lack of beds, and villagers don't die from sleep deprivation.
Yes it's been also happening to me in any update I had, the most practical fix I found was to delete the options.txt file.
I have the same problem. Is there already a solution for this?
They stop completely random on straights, curves, next to another line, away from another line ...
Can i have too much powered rails?
Update: Blowing it up seemed to have reset the block. weird since no other way to update the block has fixed it. not even tall doors or portals.
i've uploaded some pictures wich show the air can't be pushed by pistons, also water flows arround it and redstone doesn't pass through
no, this world was made in 1.13. also there are 0 addons to the world, plain vanilla
