@unknown this issue is currently blocked by MC-268941 and cannot be reproduced. If mojang reintroduces the ability to start sprinting while gliding, this can be reproduced again.
It's a clone, not a duplicate, because that ticket has an incorrect resolution. If this is marked as a duplicate, the original report should be reopened.

Moreover, this problem complicates the process of clipping through glowstone walls using ender pearls or any other methods that allow intersecting with glowstone dust.
It's up to Mojang to determine if this is deliberate. Additionally, consider looking at MC-162943, which shares similarities.
This presents a valid concern; "just pointing out a difference between versions" does not make it invalid. The determination of whether it's a bug rests with Mojang. This bug report should remain open for their assessment. I'm not implying it's unlikely to be intentional. Your comment is just pointing out an opinion and not providing a mojang source or anything else.

You haven't cited a source for this claim either. It appears to be solely based on your personal viewpoint. Typically, blocks that don't transmit redstone signals don't push entities out of them. The bug report adequately outlines why this behavior might be unintended.
