If I launch a snapshot Minecraft, then minimize the Minecraft window then maximize it again, my screen will be frozen. The game still works, as I can still hear button clicks and I can break blocks on a server, but my actual screen stays exactly the same as it was when I opened the window back up.
I have not attempted to reproduce this on someone else's computer, but I thought I would post it here anyways to see if anyone else has this problem.

Important!!!!
When minecraftlauncher.exe is executed by integrated graphics, the bug doesn't happen.
When minecraftlauncher.exe is executed by Nvidia GPU (gtx 1050 in my case) the bug happens.
the bug is resolved in 1.13-pre6
i am able to alt tab from fullscreen, minimize the game window from windowed mode, and other things without the game freezing/crashing
it is definitely related to nvidia gpus so if you are having problems you can run with your integrated card until later this month when 1.13 is fully released
nice! hopefully this helps people in the future as well
i might try out canary, thanks for letting me know about that
This bug still affects me on one computer using NVIDIA graphics, running Minecraft release 1.14.4. On that computer, there are no traces of Discord, so that is not the problem. Like the bug says, when hitting the windows key (which minimizes Minecraft) and then maximizing the window into fullscreen again, the game will visually freeze, however, it is possible to close the game by remembering where the pause and title screen buttons are and quitting the game normally, even though the image on the screen does not change. The game does pause on lost focus.

NVIDIA Corporation
NVS 4200M/PCIe/SSE2
4.5.0 NVIDIA 382.05
Also having this problem with versions 1.12 throughout 1.15.2.
On my laptop the game will work nicely with my integrated Intel graphics, but not with my GTX 1050.

I'd like to see an update on this issue as it seems persisting.
Â
Can't find my up to date launcher_log, the one in my files is from mid-2019 for some reason.
Â
Would like to note I also looked at a list of incompatible software that Mojang provided somewhere, and saw that Geforce Experience was on there. Made sure to uninstall.
