"The End" biome translation use "The End" advancement translation string

Now that biome names are translatable components, many strings were added to Crowdin, except for "The End".
The problem is this biome translation use the eponym advancement string.

As advancement names are mainly puns or funny names, I think the biome must have its own translation string.

This can be fixed by the proof readers on crowdin, see https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/WEB-1003?focusedCommentId=441811&page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels%3Acomment-tabpanel#comment-441811

(Most likely not actually the same thing^)

This is not true, or I am misunderstanding.

biome.minecraft.sky

is the biome name

advancements.end.root.title

is the tab for "The End" advancements

https://crowdin.com/translate/minecraft/9389/enus-engb#5166978
https://crowdin.com/translate/minecraft/9389/enus-engb#5167558
These are all separate strings

I believe you Dinnerbone, but it seems like only proofreaders are able to see these strings as they appear "duplicated" for the crowdin system.
How I noticed this is in french, we translated the advancement title, but not the biome, as "The End" is supposed to not be translatable.

https://crowdin.com/translate/minecraft/9385/enus-engb#5163454 (advancements.end.root.title) is the only string which can be translated.
In https://crowdin.com/translate/minecraft/9389/enus-engb#5167558 (generator.minecraft.the_end) and https://crowdin.com/translate/minecraft/9389/enus-engb#5167492 (biome.minecraft.sky) are duplicating the first one and cannot be translated (and are invisible for non-proofreaders)

Maybe Crowdin auto-tags new strings as duplicate when a new string is equal to an exisiting string !?

What I think is (taking the french translation):
We translated the advancement title as "La fin".
In 1.13, they added 2 additional "The End" strings, but Crowdin detect they have the same display name as the advancement title, so in french it translates them with the same translation and hides them to non-proofreaders.

EDIT: to conclude, I think the real bug is: "The End biome and generator translations are not visible to non-proofreaders"

Resolved as invalid since not a Minecraft bug.

Fixed at Crowdin by setting the following strings visible:

  • commands.kill.success.single ("Killed %s")

  • commands.kill.successful ("Killed %s")

  • createWorld.customize.custom.useCaves ("Caves")

  • generator.minecraft.caves ("Caves")

  • advancements.end.root.title ("The End")

  • biome.minecraft.sky ("The End")
