Major micro stutters

I am having the exact same issue in 1.13. I'm having the same stutters.

Radeon RX 580

8gb of ram

Same. I've noticed the most issue when mining sandstone, but a little bit here and there with other tasks.

I mean i understand i have a lower end graphics card and an old fx 4300 but its minecraft... I play most triple A titles on med settings at a solid 60 to 75 fps no stutters. I clean my pc weekly no excess dump/temp files, my 1tb hard drive is no where near full, and i've completely modified my registry so win 10 only uses 15 to 20 percent of my ram at all times, plus java is up to date. I personally think this is a render issue or java issue. But i have no way of finding this out. Its up to mojang or optifine to figure it out hopefully mojang will.

Please do not mark unreleased versions as affected.

I experience this issue in singleplayer and multiplayer on 1.13.1. Frame rates are very smooth when looking around and moving very short distances, but loading any new terrain seems to really harm the render thread's performance. Even setting one's render distance to 2 doesn't fix this. Reducing chunk updates in Optifine (1.13.0) to 1 largely resolved it, but it shouldn't be necessary to install a modification to play the game.

The bug definetly exists in the latest version 1.13.1

I think the source of the bug are chunk updates. Because if you stand still, there are no (big) FPS drops at all.

Can't say that I have the same issue but I'm adding mine anyways.

Similar to what everyone else is describing, except my game runs very smoothly and then will randomly spike to very little fps, then back to normal. After about 2 minutes of runtime, the game entirely comes to a halt and I get these spikes a second between each other with a small time frame that I can move around smoothly before it returns.

I won't confirm if its correlated because I have a computer that's comparable to an attic so it might be my computer entirely. I tested this (on a plethora of game crashing events) and 1.13 is the clear candidate. Doesn't lag anywhere from 1.12.2 or less.

Any results yet? Assuming not?

I did find some little fixes. Most of which thru optifine. But with what I'm seeing in the newest 1.14 snap it seems to be running much smoother. Don't know if it was the lighting system that they changed due to redstone lag at high block levels, I'll assume that it slightly associated with it. But for now optifine fixes most of the problems. I still do have speculation that this is a tender isuue but can not confirm that 100 percent
