When an arrow is shot with the bow drawn back to the minimum length and the player is looking forward (pitch ~ 0), it is occasionally possible for a player to hit themselves with an arrow. They will receive damage and be knocked in the direction they are facing as if they were hit from behind.

The arrows are starting with a fixed speed depending on how much the bow has been drawn. Maybe adding the players speed to the speed of the arrow would fix that bug. It would also fix that the player can be faster than his arrows when falling and would make the bow way more realistic.
