Items with high enchantments can not be repaired

I put a bow with power 5, infinity, unbreaking 3, flame, and punch 2 into an anvil with an unenchanted bow to repair it, it where it would normally state the repair price (in experience levels) it said "Too Expensive"

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Enchant a bow with power 5, unbreaking 3, infinity, flame, and punch 2
2. Use the bow to decrease durability to below full
3. Put bow into the first slot of an anvil and put a second , unenchanted bow in the second slot

Hasn't this always been the case?

It has. Enchanted items with multiple enchants are more expensive to repair. Since it's highly unlikely to get five enchantments straight from an enchanting table, I'm going to assume you added them via books in the anvil. Adding those enchants via a book add price to repairing, just like repairing alone does. I believe an unenchanted item can be repaired 5 or 6 times before it's too expensive to repair. Same applies to books. There are too many enchantments for you to repair it.

DanTDM has almost the same enchantments and cannot repairΒ le shoot.

There are ways to get the same enchantments on an item while keeping the cost of repair down. For example, if you add the enchantments together like in a binary tree, the cost should be much lower, as opposed to adding them one by one to the bow.
