A strange quirk I found while playing the newest snapshot: Naming an item no longer removes the penalty to repair it.

So the repair cost of items increases each time you repair them? If i recall correctly, in 1.7 you could repair items as many times as you needed
This has not been officially confirmed as yet, but keep in mind that much of enchanting (and thus repairing) is being reworked in 1.8. This may not be the final representation of repair costs, we cannot know right now.
Isn't it an omission ? They were working on anvil and forgot to put back the line of code removing penalties ?
Looks intended since the repair cost was drastically turned down.
