[MC-189897] Game hangs while loading world saves when entering the singleplayer world selection menu

When entering the world selection menu, the game hangs for a while until all world saves are loaded. If there are a lot of world saves in the saves folder, that can take quite a while. During this time, the game is not responsive.

This always happens to me when loading my bug testing installation, since my save folder has a LOT of worlds (75, 7GB in total) in it and is located on my HDD.

Today Minecraft even freezed for a few seconds after clicking the "Singleplayer" button.

Launcher log not relevant imo.

You can add that it can interrupt the music due to that lag.

Can confirm for 21w17a. This is with a considerable number of worlds, but nothing extreme.

Happened to me in 21w18 but only once. It seems that it doesn't occur twice in a row.
