After hours of playing on our minecraft server and then disconnecting, when we log back in the server bounces back at least 30 minutes of work and does not save or bring us back to where we were when we logged out. This means that after collecting 10 ancient debris we logged back in to find we had none and were in an area that we had discovered hours ago. I've tried save commands and none of them worked. I also tried staggering our disconnect times and tried remaining stagnant until the server disconnects me for inactivity. None of these options worked. I've tried testing it only 10 minutes into playing and it loaded us in where we logged out but it seems any time we play longer, we instantly get bounced back. I also tried loading into the last world save and it still didn't work. This has only started happening during the latest update and of course right after getting really important items unfortunately. If you could please help I would greatly appreciate it. edit: I also remember the menu used to say save and exit but now only says disconnect

It happened to us again just after the 4:46 backup, we were playing for approximately 1 hour and then got disconnected and came back in to find we lost all the progress. that was when that last backup was created an hour ago without any of the progress we had made.

I've run into this issue twice since the 1.16.1 update, also on Realms. Two days ago, I got a chat message that the server would reset for maintenance in 5 minutes, so I logged off. When I logged back on some time later, first I had problems where I got stuck in a glitchy interaction with a door, so I re-logged. When I logged back in I had lost about an hour of progress. Today I just signed off on my own for about half an hour, and when I logged back in, I had lost about 15 minutes of progress.

@Vis Yes the same happened to me, I went into the nether portal and saw nothing and then got disconnected and when I reconnected I lost hours of work 😞
