Inconsistency: Breaking amethyst crystals with hands doesn't drop the item, but breaking the block they are placed on drops them

Can confirm. People might not need a pickaxe to get the crystal shards when they can just break the block they are on and drops the crystal shards anyways.

This actually affects every block that requires a pickaxe to be mined.

Does not occur with snow, interestingly. Breaking it by hand drops nothing and breaking the block on which the snow is also drops nothing.
