The translation for "Chain" in German is "Verketten". That is incorrect, it should be Kette.
This is NOT an issue that can be fixed on Crowdin, since the string is missing there on the 1.16 section.
It looks like, the translation is taken from the string "advMode.mode.sequence" from Minecraft 1.15, which is "Verketten". (see here:

However, chains were added in 1.16 and there is NO string for the Chain (Block) in Minecraft 1.16 (or 1.17) strings.
You can't use one string for two completely different things where one got added over 5 years ago and means something completely different.
Here you can see that there is NO string for the chain (block) in German.

Maybe read the description. This CANNOT be fixed on Crowdin, since the string for translation is MISSING there.
See this one here: MC-1352
In this case, the string was also missing on Crowdin.

There is no "Chain" string.
@galaxy_2alex

Definitely there in the 1.16 section, I've just looked 🙂

Yes, there is a 1.16 section but there is NO string for Chain.
@galaxy_2alex
I updated the description since I probably found the issue. Still, this is NOT fixable through Crowdin since there is no string for chains in 1.16 section.

Confirmed. I can't find the string in Crowdin too.

@galaxy_2alex
Thats the 1.15 string and also not the string for the chain (block). Chains were added in 1.16.
The string for the chain (block) should be block.minecraft.chain
Talking about this block:

You can see on the date "5 years ago" that this is NOT the correct string. Chains weren't added 5 years ago ...
Please reopen this because its clearly a bug because the string is not on Crowdin so there is NO WAY the community can fix this.

The string is used for both.

Yes @galaxy_2alex
AND THIS IS THE BUG HERE!
You can't use ONE string for TWO completely DIFFERENT things where one got added OVER 5 YEARS AGO and means something completely different.

Interesting, thank you for bringing this to our attention - this is likely an issue with Crowdin itself, and I have reported it to the correct place.
