Activator Rails eject entities riding minecarts too early when activated

While I was building a mineshaft, when I was putting some activator rails, I noticed that when they were activated they ejected me inmediately when the minecart touched the rail.

This breaks mechanisms where a person needs to travel near a TNT Minecart and with a detector rail the explosive get activated, because the person can escape if the trap isn't in a small place.

Edit: I forgot to specify that the Minecart ejected me too early. (Edit made the 14 December 2020)

Activator rails are supposed to do that, see MC-79835.

I made an edit to specify that though that's true, the minecart ejects players too early, at the first pixel of the rail they touch, making them unpredictable.

Can confirm in 1.17.
