We do not have enough information to reproduce this issue.

Please provide the following information about the world you are playing in as text. Attaching a screenshot showing them is not enough.

  • World Type:

    • "Default" if you have not chosen one when creating the world.

    • For "Superflat": Additionally provide the generation preset.

    • For "Buffet": Additionally provide the generator type and biome you have selected.

  • Additional generation settings (in case you changed them): E.g. "Generate Structures", "Bonus Chest", ...

  • Seed: Can be obtained by using the /seed command and clicking on the message in chat

  • Coordinates: Can be copied to clipboard by pressing F3 + C

This issue is being temporarily closed as Awaiting Response. Once the requested information has been delivered, the report will be reopened automatically.

Can confirm.

i am unable to say wether this happens in 20w11a as the minor generation changes have invalidated the seed as an example of the bug and due to the specific nature of the bug, i cannot replicate it

SeanWasTaken

Can confirm for 21w18a. Screenshot attached.

All these instances seem to be near worldspawn, so this might be caused by MC-224729 (see section "1. Spawn chunks"). Can you please answer the following questions to check this claim:

  • Was your render distance below 11?

  • Did you save and quit the world once before observing the glitch or was it observed immediately?

@unknown was the world created fresh in 1.18 Pre-release 1, or was it created earlier?

Avoma

Hi @unknown, the world was generated completely fresh in 1.18 Pre-release 1. I didn't upgrade versions of the world or anything along those lines, just a complete 1.18 Pre-release 1 vanilla world. 🙂

You may not be able to reproduce this consistently with the above information I've provided as a result of lush cave decorators varying regardless of world seeds. (MC-219200). Nonetheless, I can assure you that the problem is still present. 🙂

I can confirm that this issue is still present in 1.18 Pre-release 5.

You can use the information provided below to recreate this. I've also provided a world download of this particular world in which I experienced this behavior in. Hopefully, this helps in some shape. 🙂
