Chests in boats do not become presents between December 24 - 26

The bug

Chests in boats use a different model from regular chests, and as such, do not appear to turn into presents or christmas chests between December 24 - 26.

How to reproduce

  1. Change your system's date to anywhere between December 24 - 26.

  2. Place some chests / minecarts with chests.

  3. ✔ These chests appear as presents.

  4. Place some boats with chests.

  5. ❌ These chests do not appear as presents.

I think this may be due to the fact that chest on boats are a few pixels smaller than regular chests and do not use the same texture, but then the question is about the difference in pixels.

The textures for chest boats include both the boat and the chest, which can't be textured independently from each other.
