Missing pack.mcmeta and no sound in-game

It's not a custom made pack, it's the actual minecraft vanilla default one, that is not present in the resourcepack folder. Hope that clears it out

Unfortunally in MC-107223 there's not a response to my problem, having it already seen and it's on a different version.

Older version, but not resolved (as non-awaiting response) does not mean it is a different issue, nor does the fact that it has no solution attached.

Your report is addressing the exact same problem, thus it is a duplicate. Please go to MC-107223 and keep that updated instead.

try delete version folder (.minecraft/version/{version}) and also indexes folder (.minecraft/assets/indexes/{version})

if you will run version again, files will be re-installed

Wouldn't it be better to start a fresh thread instead than updating one that doesn't have a response since 2017, five years ago.

Moreover it's checked as resolved, so I don't think that people are going to update it.
