Expected: Beam to be rendered behind the beacon beam you are standing in, if visible at all.
Result: Beacon beam creates a cut out in the beam you are standing in.
Go onto nether roof for clear visibility.
Set up a beacon, of any size (with a base)
Move away from it until the beacon beam is just barely not visible behind the nether fogs.
Set up another beacon, of any size, where you are (with a base)
Stand in the beam of the beacon and look toward the other beacon
Additional info:
This works in different fogs (tested on soulsand valley, as well as crimson forest)
Attached is a screenshot. In the screenshot there is a beacon where the cutout is, as well as a beacon in between that and the one I am standing on, which renders normally.

I have attached a screenshot of beacons I have setup, the red beacons are just in the fog of the nether, and the blue and green beacons are within the fog radius. I have also uploaded a video to better demonstrate the bug, i am standing inside of a beacon, and you can see how the beacons of the other fog are clipped out of the beacon i am standing in.
This is not an issue with rendering the beacon model im standing INSIDE, this is not the same as MC-165306
This could be caused by MC-231123.
Dupe of MC-165306
