When generating the Trial Chambers using /place, the Trial Spawners spawn and stay inactive, and can't even changed to "waiting_for_players" using the debug stick, because it instantly resets to "inactive".
Steps to Reproduce:
Generate Trial Chambers using "/place structure trial_chambers"
Find a Trial spawner
(optional) Right-click it with a spawn-egg
Try changing the state of the spawner with the debug stick to "waiting_for_players"
Observed Results:
The Trial Spawner shortly changes its state to "waiting_for_players", but returns to "inactive" after one game tick.
Expected Results:
The Trial Spawner should stay at the state "waiting_for_players", until it is activated and thus spawns mobs.

@Dhranios Of course, but when going near the spawner in survival it doesn't activate, because it's in the state (NBT Data) "inactive", instead of "waiting_for_players". While waiting, even with no survival players in range, it should keep the "waiting_for_players" state. In normally generated structures the spawners also have the state "waiting_for_players", even when only going near them in creative.
Could not reproduce, I placed a trial chamber and the trial spawner works as expected. What are your difficulty / doMobSpawning
game rules set to?
No problem, will resolve as a duplicate of MC-266487 then.
Go to survival/adventure. Creative/spectator players are ignored, and the spawner turns off if nobody is in rage (in survival/adventure).
