What's the problem: I don't see the green loading progress bar, the one you normally see when updating Minecraft, when creating a world, regardless of game modes.
What I expected: I expect myself to see a loading progress bar whenever I create a new world, and it should appear when it's building terrain and converting worlds.
How to reproduce:
You play Single Player.
Create a new World
(Optional) Set whatever world options you like.
Create.

@Wyatt Ward:
This bug is related to single player mode. The percentages shown in your image works as intended from the server console, which is unrelated to this issue.
This for whatever reason was one of the coolest things about the game that broke. I hope mojang fixes this!
@unknown, its because Mojang (Searge in this case) said so. Does every bug report that gets resolved as intended need an explanation as to why said resolution was chosen?
It became a bug in 1.3 because of the multiplayer restructuring. I'm guessing they won't fix it because it will affect SMP? Still, the fact that all the in-game transitions were broken and won't be fixed kinda sucks.
Yeah, I don't know what's up with this. :/
