Either you make sure that when I update my perfect 1.8 release created world from 24w12a to 1.20.5, I shall not have any issues with my books being erased, or I shall be forced to file a BBB report regarding your incompetence in fixing the related bug MC-270325. I shall press legal action, and if necessary request legal use of lethal action against you for this clear and intentional attempt at censorship, a clear violation of my First Amendment Rights under the United States Constitution. Again, do not make me do this, fix the goddamn bug, make sure my books won't be erased upon updating to release 1.20.5 within the next 7 days, or I shall make good on my word to file a BBB report regarding this. Very aggressive. Cannot reproduce, upgrading a world with a writable or written book from 1.20.4 straight to 1.20.5-pre1 does not erase the book's contents.

That is contradicted by the fact that you want to upgrade your world "from 24w12a to 1.20.5", which means you have already been in one of the 1.20.5 snapshots, which in turn means that Gegy's point still stands and you are in the wrong here.
