Expected outcome:
Mobs stay on their mounts. In some previous versions (haven't checked exatly which) most mobs stayed on their mounts.

Duplicate that was marked as "Solved", but isn't:
MC-193083 - Passengers get off mobs if they convert into other mobs.
Edit: MC-193083 is sometimes marked as "Won't fix", and sometimes as just "Solved: No solution".

We're tracking this issue as MC-193083, so this ticket is being resolved and linked as a duplicate.
That ticket has already been resolved as Won't Fix, which means this is considered a bug but won't be fixed. The description of that ticket or the comments might explain the rationale. Please do not leave a comment on the linked ticket.

I request this is looked at again, because mojang recently did several changes to mob behaviour during conversions (including mobs keeping their passengers)
Especially because several things that weren't broken before are now broken (piglins converting to pigmen while in minecarts worked in 1.21.1 but doesn't anymore)
Requesting on this ticket instead of MC-193083 because it's simply much more detailed
MC-193083 was not resolved as solved/fixed, it was resolved as Won't fix meaning Mojang does not plan on fixing MC-193083
