Temperate cows have strange mapping/harsh borders because of the leg texture becoming mirrored

The Bug
Originally the top of cows legs looked like this.

Besides one leg, that had a harsh white border like this

NOW with this new cow update, the white patterns received gradients to ease them into the dark fur better, and the legs were mirrored so the patterns didn't look so repeated.

However, because of this change, this harsh white border now appears on more of the legs. And it seems its texture was never given a softer gradient, and so the cut off remains harsh despite being more frequent.

I feel this is most assuredly an unintentional and overlooked quirk of the new texture, as the Warm and Cold cows have nothing resembling this.

It'd actually be better if the white spot on top was made brown entirely; not a single side-pixel at the top is white, so it'll look off regardless.

Could the legs be extended into the main body and the top textures of each of them just removed outright to reduce the amount of triangles required for rendering each cow?

That would make it inconsistent with every other entity.

Could the legs of the other entities be extended into the main body and the top textures of each of them just removed outright to reduce the amount of triangles required for rendering lots of other entities besides cows?

Reminder that entities render differently, there is no instance of per-face definition on entity model elements.
