In 1.21.8 if I toggle sneak and open my inventory it seems to make me stop crouching, making a secret base impossible with this, is there a way to fix this? because I cant sneak and use my inventory anymore

We could not reproduce the issue on 1.21.8 but got a repro on snapshot 25w36b.
Can you confirm if the issue occurs on the latest release or the snapshot?
Thanks for your report! The behavior described before (players sneaking while in GUIs with Sneak option set to Toggle) was reported as a bug - MC-163218 - and fixed in 25w32a. Therefore, I’m resolving this as Works As Intended.
Please note, that mechanics of the game may change between updates.
Things such as graphics, sounds, world creation, biomes, redstone, villagers, and animals may not work the same in current versions.
