Steps to reproduce:
get a netherite spear with lunge 3 and sharpness 5
spawn a husk
jump and lunge towards the husk with a charge attack (you may need to attempt this multiple times)
run the following command
/data get entity @n[type=minecraft:husk] Health
Expected result:
the husk dies, as it would in the previous versions
Observed result:
the husk survives at ~10 health, as if the player’s lunge speed didn’t even contribute.
this may be caused by the spear having a delay on player’s velocity check.

I recommend this bug report being reopened until it is actually fully addressed and fixed.
