The grass block’s overlay alpha in-world seems to be ignoring the biome foliage color, instead defaulting to the overlay alpha color of the held item grass block model, same one used in the inventory. It's most noticeable in biomes with darker tints or non-green tints. It seems to only happen on the edges of the texture, like leftover transparent pixels.
This occurs regardless of texture filtering setting. Off, RGSS, and Anisotropic 2x-8x will show the same result.
Could be related to the fix of MC-302659?
