Place the new Oak Roof wood in a furnace and it does not turn into charcoal.

I'm having the same problem. But besides the charcoal part, dark oak wood/planks wont smelt anything.

They forgot to fix this for the 1.7 pre-release 😞

You also can't smelt using the planks or logs :/ still not fixed for the 1.7 pre-release
