Cracking animation just got "fixed" for Chests (normal, trapped and Ender) and signs.
Although it's show (at least in my opinion) incorrectly.
I don't say it doesn't look good!
But with all other blocks in Minecraft the animation starts in the center of that block.
While thees blocks don't.

How should I approach this then?
Is there a place I can make a post to tell someone to work on this and make a animation for these special blocks?
I noticed this when breaking double chests. Looking back at 1.7.10 release, there is no breaking animation. In the snapshots (confirmed in 14w30a and 14w32b) when you break half of a double chest, both halves have the breaking animation.
IMO if the animation doesn't "fit" the chests, that's a minor display bug, but when you break half of a double chest and both halves have the breaking animation, it appears as if you will break both halves.
Any reason as to why this was utterly reopened? I'm still agreeing with Anon that this is intentional. In fact, even Searge confirmed that it was intentional (MC-62362):
[Mojang] Searge (Michael Stoyke) made changes - 17/Jul/14 4:29 PM
Field Original Value New Value
Resolution Works As Intended [ 6 ]
Status Open [ 1 ] Resolved [ 5 ]
These blocks don't fit the typical block shape, so this is necessary to make the animation fit them.
