Bizzare Endermen behaviour / no-aggro

This has been an issue in the last few snapshots, but due the rare appearance of the E-men, I wasn't sure. I am unable to aggro the E-men. I look at them, they display the anim, emit the sound, then teleport away. Today I chased one all over the desert, it refused to come to melee. Then, another tp'd onto the bent trunk of an acacia, fell off (showing damage), then walked into a wall and stayed stuck there until I hit it. This time, no aggro was displayed until hit, and there was no scream.

Confirmed for 14w32b. Occasionally they go aggro then will often go neutral again.

It's kind of helarious. I don't know if this is a secret feature but endermen seem to deaggro when punch them in the groin area! 😃 tested with 14w32d

Also with the latest additions to the AI system, the endermen have to look to your direction to realize that you are looking at them.

Confirmed in 14w34d. Endermen become hostile when you align your crosshair with their hitbox. When you hit them, however, they become de-aggroed, making it simple even to kill one with your fists.

Confirmed for 1.8. When taking damage from water/fire they teleport away and appear to become hostile to the spot where they took damage, running back towards it and upon taking damage again, will either repeat until they die or become passive.

Is this still an issue in the current Minecraft Snapshot 15w47c or later? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

Ticket resolved as incomplete, because no answer in a reasonable amount of time (1+ year), if it still happens, please update the ticket.
