Iron Golems do not obey new village boundaries like villagers do

In 1.8, village boundaries for villagers, or the area in which they can walk around without leaving the village and walking back, have been extended by about 10 or so blocks. However, iron golems don't seem to follow this new boundary, and are still stuck in the smaller area that the villagers had stayed in in 1.7. This causes many problems, such as iron golems not attacking zombies when the villagers are too far away from the village, since iron golems never attack mobs beyond the village boundaries.

Is this still an issue in the most recent versions (currently that is 1.10.2, or 16w42a) of Minecraft? If so, please update the affected versions and help us keeping this ticket updated from time to time. If you are the owner/reporter of this ticket, you can modify the affected version(s) yourself.

Confirmed in 19w08b while I was testing MC-144776

Also, the fact that iron golems can now persue mobs outside of their village boundary (abeit glitchy) pretty much defines the difference between MC-76892 and MC-144776 (because MC-76892 shows that iron golems won't travel in the same places as villagers, while MC-144776 is a very recent glitch that shows how iron golems behave when persuing mobs near a village in 19w08b).

Uploaded a screenshot of a golem who left a village. (Sorry for using a texturepack if that's an issue). I started playing and walling off a naturally generated village and noticed that the golems do not care about the village boundaries (as well as villagers).
I am guessing this should be re-opnened?

tested on version 1.14 Pre-Release 2

Please check if that's still an issue for you in the latest 1.14.4 release.
