New description:
Arrows trigger wooden buttons without actually touching the button
Original DescriptionWhen shooting a button with a arrow it seems like it gets stuck in a block (even when not actually touching the actual button). Then it reappears at the spot it should be, incase it hits the button the arrow will point straight down on that block no matter what angle its shot at (sometimes it also flips straight like when hitting the button).
Note: This is only tested in singleplayer.
Fix: This bug seems to fix itself when playing in a lower resolution, this might mean that my mac isn't fast enough to see that wooden button is not full-sized and that causes this bug.

Can you post screenshots?

That's the problem, the arrow can activate the wooden button on the middle left area and all
the areas below the button.
Please, solve this, I want to create a more accurate target. Thank you very much!

Confirmed.

Discovered while testing for MC-6989: The hitbox of the arrowy is quite large, if the hitbox touches the button, it is pressed.

Still a concern in 14w08a.

Still in 30c.

Still reproduceable in 14w32d!
Now with the new wireframe hitboxes you can see clearly what is happening, and as Kumasasa mentioned: if the hitbox touches the button, it is pressed.
So I'm not sure what to think of this... Is this a bug?
From the standpoint how it is coded, No.
But from the standpoint of "realism", it is....

Arrow hitbox misalignment in 1.8.1-pre2.
Uploaded two screenshots showing the discrepancy.

Still happening in 15w42a, the arrow hitbox is misaligned.

Still happening in 15w44b.
