Command Blocks Don't Dispense

When you put a command block in a dispenser and activate it, it will not place the command block.

Can confirm. Started with 1.8.6.

Probably a result of MC-75630 (sign/command block) exploit

This has effectively broken many many maps.

As Q said, so much is broken by this. Both the maps I released used this feature, and without it one of them will not function at all, and the other with reduced functionality. If this isn't fixed, I suspect many mapmakers will pack up and leave.

This is extremely annoying. It is definitely a result of MC-75630. I don't care if you need to make a new block to dispense command blocks, but something needs to be done to fix this. One does not simply introduce a feature, let the users use it for almost a year, and then remove it.

What the devs should do is add some kind of randomizer command or block so that people don't have to keep coming up with these solutions to the problem of randomness in Minecraft.

I mean there are better random generators out there in minecraft. AKA Armorstand random generators.

People, this site is no discussion forum. Please keep suggestions about features at Minecraft Suggestions on Reddit.

There are several other options for randomisation which are more extensible (not limited to 9 choices, don't have to be reset) such as @r armour stands and spreadplayers

Searge, how in any way was it a security issue? You can at least give us the reason how in any way this was a “security issue”. You owe us that for removing this great feature.
