Picking up items doesnt stack them into the offhand slot.

When having an item, for example logs, in the offhand slot and colecting more the new items go into the normal hotbar.

What I expected to happen

The logs stack into the offhand slot

What actually happened

The logs went into the normal inventory

How to reproduce

  • Go into survvial mode and grab one block

  • Put it into the offhand slot with the F key

  • Grab another block of the same type

Confirmed, and also related is that items cannot be shift-clicked into the slot even if some of that type of item are already there.

Confirmed here, hope for a quick fix or next week at least, would be nice especially for torch while mining.

Definitely confirmed here, I'd use it for torches 'cept I pick up half of 'em on my way back when mining. Hoping for a fix soon!
