What I expected to happen was...
The boat and I to turn at the same time
What actually happened was..."
I would turn then the boat would turn itself and force me to turn.
Steps to Reproduce
1. Put a boat in water
2. Get in the boat
3. Do a 360 degree turn with your mouse WHILE moving forward with the "W" key

Working as intended. If you've ever tried to steer a boat it is not as easy as walking.
The right left and backwards keys don't do anything but they used to reverse and turn right and left
Boat Control
The down and side arrows are not working in a boat
While in a boat, I expected, the arrow keys to provide a thrust, based on my direction of view.
What happens is, I can only get thrust in the direction of view, no lateral or reverse thrust, (up arrow only). Therefore I must face backwards and use up arrow to stop.
When in prior version, while facing forward I could use the down arrow to stop, and side arrows to navigate.
Thanks Hope it helps as I use the boat quite a bit 🙂
I've also noticed that boats done lost much of their maneuverability.
Ya can't turn yer boat 'round without goin' forward, which ya use t' be able ta do before 1.6.
Ya also can't backwater yer boat in an attempt ta slow it down from goin' too fast, or in an attempt ta turn it right full 'round.
I don't think this is an implemented point, because it don't make no more sense than it did before, an it just makes things worse ta handle.
It ain't just me that thinks it either.
Confirmed, A and D keys have no effect on direction. Where was this change in behaviour announced? Surely this is an unintentional side effect of combining the horse navigation with the boat's. Seems dumb to me.
Why is this marked as "RESOLVED"?
Nothing has been resolved other than Jens accidentally screwing up the boating mechanics.
The mouse does not affect the boat nearly as much as the keys. It works as intended when I try.
