The bug
When you stop the respawning of the EnderDragon right after you started it and have an EnderCrystal at the position of a bedrock block, it can cause the bedrock block to drop as an item (see attached video).
How to reproduce
Kill the EnderDragon
Place an EnderCrystal in the middle part of the portal (fire should replace a bedrock block) Mod edit, 15w51b: You can no longer place end crystals inside bedrock but you can still break bedrock or just predict where the portal will be generated in pre-1.9 worlds.
Place three of the four needed EnderCrystals around the portal to respawn the EnderDragon
Place the fourth one but destroy it right after you placed it
Eventually the bedrock block will lay there as an item. The explosions can blow it up therefore it is recommended to be in creative mode and float near the middle column during the explosion in order to reproduce the issue.

Fixed by fix of MC-91528
Rather fixed by the fix for being able to place EnderCrystals even if there is no space for them
Nope. There's still plenty of ways to break bedrock - and you can place the end crystal where the portal will generate if your world is from before 1.9. Reopening.
edit: Could still be fixed in 15w49a (via MC-91666).
It's hard for me to try to find every single instance of tricking the game to destroy and drop bedrock, so I "fixed" this by simply preventing bedrock from dropping a bedrock item. This way it may still be possible to remove bedrock in certain ways, but at least you shouldn't receive it as an item
Will plugins or commands still be able to drop bedrock then? Because if it cant drop doesn't that mean that it automatically despawns if you use a command or plugin to drop it on the ground now?
Set to public since it's an exploit in a snapshot.
