Hello,
I've just found very irritating issue with placing blocks. In my vanilla world (1.9) there is a spot (2x2x2) where it is impossible to place any solid block. Right-clicking causes sound effect of placing block, but after like 1/100 of second the block disappears. Inventory shows 1 item less every click being done. I can walk through the area. However, when I destroy a block next to it or simply place same blocks in other place, all lost items appear in my inventory.
Reloading game, walking away from the chunk to reload it, switching between various worlds, going to the nether - nothing can fix it. Apparently, there is only one spot like this. Anywhere else - no problem with placing anything. The weird thing is that I'm able to place non-solid blocks (like torches, flowers, also fences or walls and water, but not trap doors, glass or regular doors).
I'd be very appreciate if You could help me with this. Sorry if my report is a duplicate. I didn't find any related post though.

I believe it has nothing to do with any spawn protection, as I'm not playing at any server. It's just solo game on my PC only.
Seed: minecraft
Coords: Y 67 and 68, X -168 and -167, Z 308 and 309. It's a 2x2x2 cube.
Please force a crash by holding F3+C for 10 seconds and attach the resulting crash report here.
Please run /say @e[r=5]
while standing in the spot and attach the output here.
I can attest to having the same problem except in my world it was a 2x1x2 space. I couldn't place anything. Even tried /fill to place stone in that area. Same problem as the OP otherwise.
I did the force crash and attached a log here. My version is 1.9.2 and I am playing on Vanilla server on localhsot. I attached the dump to this comment.
When I use the /say @e[r=5] command, it said my nickname and cow. Suddenly a cow was in my spot behind me and it moved out of the way and I was able to fill the space with blocks agian. Hurray! 😃 But where did that cow come from? I even dug all around that area including underneath before hand just in case there was a block or hidden mob and it didn't move it apparently. It happened once before this and it resolved itself. I dug around it to see if I could trigger the "space" and it fixed it for some reason.
Seed and coords (just to check if reproducible across worlds)?
