Very laggy after the render dragon release.

The game became very laggy, after the render dragon version where released in windows 10. Honestly, i play on a pretty low-end laptop (his specs are below), but in the 1.16.40 release it was a lot more stable than now. If the problem is only because of this new engine, it would recomend a non render dragon version for all players to enjoy a stable game.

The same to me.

For me, the problem is too much CPU (90%~100%) use with 40%~50% GPU usage... and frequency dropping (2,3GHZ~2,6GHZ)

Changing game quality to best, or to very low there's no difference, so there's something wrong...

Maybe game is not VSync (so they are delivering too much FPS to my CPU, that is not handle it?)... but i have a Notebook monitor, so here it is a really 60HZ monitor.

Still in 1.16.200 (release)

Config:

Intel i7 5500u

GPU0: HD Graphics 5500

GPU1 (linked to GPU0): GeForce 930M

RAM: 10GB

Dual monitor: Notebook (1366x768), HDMI (1920x1080), both 60HZ

Can confirm that Minecraft runs so bad after that update that it is unplayable for me. Before the update to enable Render Dragon I had smooth 60-75FPS on my laptop at 1080p with pretty much every graphics enhancement turned on (fancy lighting, leafs, etc.) Now with the update I have like 20-50FPS with all settings turned to minimum. Also it happens very often that my game freezes for 1-2seconds mostly in situations like mob combat or around my storage facility in game which has a lot of treasure chests and item frames.

Please let us choose to use lagacy graphics mode until Render Dragon works good for everything less than a RTX2060.

Yes, I updated all the drivers before writing this.

Tested configs, all with similar results (versions 1.16.200 and 1.16.201 tested)

  1. Laptop: i5-8250U, 8Gb Ram (both with either iGPU or GTX940MX (4Gb shared Vram)

  2. Desktop Ryzen 5 3600x, 16Gb Ram, with either an GTX760 (had a spare one to test) and GTX1060Ti

  3. Xbox One S

Note: On my iPad Pro 2020 i had no such issue playing on the same world (Realm) as on my other devices, as the render dragon is not activated on that platform suggesting it has something to do with that.

Please, please, please consider giving us an option to toggle Render Dragon for now (name it something like „lagacy graphics mode“) as it is unplayable aside from my iPad and i don‘t like playing Minecraft with touch controls.

Before 1.16.200 I'm able to record 720p 50fps videos just fine. But since 1.16.200 I have to decrease my resolution to 480p 25fps to be able to record without frame drops. Also Minecraft crashes a lot. Please fix this issue in the next update. Here's my specs:

AMD A4-9125 Radeon R3, 4Compute Cores 2C+2G 2.30 GHz

4GB RAM

239GB HDD Storage

AMD Radeon R3 Graphics

You are not the only one who noticed it, but I'm, actually, going through this and experienced it.

Main GPU: AMD Radeon R3 Graphics

Second GPU: AMD Radeon R5 M330

RAM: 4GB (Available 3.5GB) 1600Hz

Very laggy and its fps is around 15.

Darn it I cannot play it smoothly

(BTW, please add 1.16.200 and 1.16.201 in the item of "Affects Version/s", or the staff may think it only occurs on 1.16.100.57 beta, thx)

or rather, duplicates MCPE-105892
that ticket is now tracking general lag (including fps) instead of block/sounds lagging
