[MCPE-1069] Started game in survival, now it is in creative

I was playing on survival and when at a crafting table my phone died. When I loaded after charging the game mode had switched from survival to creative! All of what I had previously made was intact; the world was exactly how it was when my phone died but as said before, the mode is now on creative.

1. Go to a crafting table with almost dead phone
2. Let the phone die.
3. Charge the phone again and start up the game.
4. Load the same save.

Another user reported these symptoms from abrupt termination in MCPE-1117 (see history):

name is deleted
shadows become very dark
game mode changed to creative
spawn point reset

I had this happen yesterday. Now all my chests are empty, armour is gone, and all items I was carrying are gone. Although structures and mines are still present as I had them, I lost a lot of items I had been collecting. Very frustrating.

Happened to me too. I used PocketInvEditor to revert back to survival. I lost my whole inventory, though 😞

Confirmed on iOS iPod Touch 5g iOS 7 on 0.8.1, sometimes my world turns to no name and converted from survival to creative.

This appears to affect the current versions of MC:PE (see MCPE-7868 and MCPE-8117). I suggest reopening for fixing.

In 0.11.0 you can change your gamemode so this won't be a problem anymore!

Alex, the gamemode still should not change automatically. Do not resolve issues based on importance.

This just happened to me in MCPE 0.12.1

Edit: Making the sequence clearer:

1. Was playing a survival world when the app crashed and my phone restarted itself
2. Once the phone rebooted, I launched MCPE and saw that my survival world had:
A) Switched to creative mode
B) Lost its name, becoming blank
3. I launched the now-Creative world and found my world was apparently intact, I was in the same saved location, and I had all my inventory items
4. I exited out of the world and clicked edit, and changed the world back to Survival and gave it a name (however I noticed that Seed was "0", I don't remember what it was originally)
5. I saved the changes, and launched the world again
6. The world loaded fine in Survival mode, and I was in the same location I was previously in the game, except my inventory was completely empty. I still had all my equipped armor however.
7. The rest of the world appeared intact, and items I had put in chests were all still there. Only the inventory items were missing

How to reproduce that?
For examle if you playing on survival world and when your phone has got low battery mobile will stop with work,then connect your phone to charger,then open minecraft and this world will be last world on the world list,and that world hasn't got name,and if that world is created on superflat mode,one or two chunks will be flat but all world will be like a infinite world

As I am playing in creative, game crashed. Then name is lost, seed turn to 0 and it is said that I last opened the world a long time ago.

Lost some progress due to the crash as well.

and its weird that the seed changes to 0. im just happy me and my sisters worlds were not deleted by it.. also i got mcpe on my ipod 4th gen about a month ago and dont play it that much and it has died while playing MC and my world is always fine so i dont think it affects iOS ... weird.
