If you get a pillager to fire its crossbow enough, the crossbow breaks, rendering the pillager passive.
How to duplicate: have a pillager fire at a villager behind a wall consisting of 3(I think) snow layers on top of a glass block. After about 20 minutes, the crossbow will break.
I like this bug, but can you make it so villagers will not run away from them, and iron golems will not attack them?

It is really me asking for pacified pillagers to be counted as passive mobs. I want to make a village of them, but iron golems keep appearing in the village and killing them.

This does not happen in Bedrock Edition as mobs that fire projectiles do not actually use the weapons they are holding to fire the projectile. See also MCPE-67489. This was probably reported in the wrong project. Resolving as Cannot Reproduce.
This doesn't seem to be a bug. Appears on Java and all other mobs drain durability from tools and armor.
